“We're so happy, we're so happy, we're so happy to be here!

We have come to learn together feeling good throughout the year!”

Sung to the tune:

“Oh My Darling Clementine”

Hello Third Grade Families, Welcome to Northeast Elementary! My name is Kasie Galbraith but most everyone calls me Ms. G. I am THRILLED to be your child's teacher this year!  It’s going to be a fun year filled with lots of learning and collaboration...I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us! I want to know ALL about you but first, let me share a few things about me.

I was born in Joplin, Missouri. After moving to Tulsa, I initially went to Jenks Public Schools but graduated High School from Metro Christian Academy.  I majored in Early Childhood Education and graduated from The University of Oklahoma.

I taught PK in Norman for 5 years.  I moved to OKC and taught Second Grade 4 years and First Grade 1 year.  I taught 1 year of PK in Tulsa before moving to Owasso and joining the WoNdErFuL aMaZiNG staff at Northeast Elementary in 2013.  Here, I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and now Third Grade. Before joining OPS, I was an AmeriCorps Member and served at Owasso Community Resources. There, I worked with RAM Academy students through our Youth In Action program and created the OCR Job Center. In addition, I helped with OCR yearly assistance programs, fundraisers, and distributing food to families in need. It’s been a long journey reaching Owasso Public Schools but I’ve loved every moment, student, family, and memory made along the way!

I enjoy reading mystery books, listening to all kinds of music, indulging in weekend brunch, spending time on the lake with family, and having dinner or crafty gatherings with my former Kindergarten and current Third Grade Teams. I also enjoy painting, creating collages, and writing children's books, songs, and poetry. (Like that catchy tune above!) But most of all I LOVE to TEACH, INSTILL CHARACTER, and HELP CHILDREN ACHIEVE THEIR PERSONAL BEST!

Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions or concerns...communication is KEY! Speaking of communication, please remember to check your child's S.O.S. Binder DAILY and our Private Group Facebook Page AT LEAST 1-2 times WEEKLY. Both are important resources for classroom information and upcoming dates.

I look forward to a fun, memorable, and successful year!

Welcome to Third Grade,

Ms. G
