Picture Book Challenge
Earn this Reading Tag by reading 20 picture books and logging it on your reading log. *Grades 3-5 can take a Reading Counts quiz.
2nd Quarter Sequoyah Challenge
Earn this Reading Tag by reading at least 5 of the books on this year’s nomination list for the Sequoyah Award. You must earn a 70% on the Reading Counts quiz for the book to count. Students in grades pre-k to 2 may read any award winning book to receive this brag tag.
March Madness Challenge
Earn this Reading Tag by...
Grades pre-k - 2 reading at least 4 books (they can be picture books or chapter books), and then draw a picture of your favorite book and give it to Mrs. Sordo.
Grades 3-5 must read at least 4 chapter books and turn in a paper that includes your favorite book title, author, and the reason why it’s your favorite. Turn this in to Mrs. Sordo.
Nonfiction Reading Challenge
Earn this Reading Tag by reading at least 10 nonfiction books and logging them. *Grades 3-5 can take a Reading Counts quiz.
Winter Reading Challenge
Earn this Reading Tag by completing the Winter Comic Challenge and turning it into your teacher after winter break.
Ram Reading Challenge
Earn this Reading Tag by reading 1 Million Words. YES, you can count the books that you read for the other challenges.
Read Across America
Earn this Reading Tag by completing the reading challenge during Read Across America Week.
